Specs and Features of the Toyota uBox Concept

Versatility and flexibility are key components of the Toyota uBox design and were a primary focus of engineers. In a generation that breeds entrepreneurs and adventurers, the Toyota uBox Concept needed to be a vehicle that broke the mold and checked all the boxes no matter what the task or purpose. Doubling as a mobile office and a recreational vehicle, the Toyota uBox surpassed expectation and led to the development of a long list of innovative, new-age features.

  • Built on a muscular platform, the Toyota uBox possesses a bold, next-generation style that will fit the Generation Z desire to stand out from the automotive crowd.
  • A versatile interior was a driving factor behind the Toyota uBox Concept. The next-generation interior can be tailored to fit multiple lifestyles, from a traveling business to hauling cargo. A low load floor and reconfigurable, removable seats make transforming the Toyota uBox cabin as easy as 1…2…3.
  • Many elements of the Toyota uBox, from vents and door trim to dashboard displays can be personalized and manufactured using a 3D printer with the purpose of creating an online community that can share design ideas.
  • An all-electric powertrain provides a fun driving experience and doubles as a power source for Generation Z drivers on the go. Multiple 110-volt sockets located throughout the design provide power for laptops, consumer electronics and power tools.
  • A new design technique was developed through this process that employs composite carbon fiber rails bonded with aluminum, which support a large, curved glass roof.
