2017 Toyota Highlander Design Highlights and Performance Specs

Several new elements will be incorporated into the 2017 Toyota Highlander design that will amplify style, performance and safety. Across the board, the Toyota Highlander will receive new upper and lower grille designs that will feature a unique finish for each trim level. Standard trim levels will feature a silver painted finish, upper trim levels will employ a chrome painted finish and the sporty SE trim level will add a dark paint treatment.

Under the hood, the 2017 Toyota Highlander will employ a refined 3.5-liter Direct Injection V-6 engine that will be more powerful and more efficient. The new engine option will be mated to a responsive and exclusive Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission that will improve your driving experience and fuel economy. Efficiency numbers will be improved even further with the implementation of a new Stop and Start Engine System. The standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine and Highlander Hybrid powertrain will remain largely unchanged.

Safety is another asset of the 2017 Toyota Highlander that will appeal to Greensburg-area families. Available with the Toyota Safety Sense P package, the reenergized Toyota Highlander can be equipped with a Pedestrian Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beams. Together these collision-prevention elements will help protect you and your family. Another new element designed to improve safety is the Toyota Bird’s Eye View Camera system with Perimeter Scan. Providing you with a panoramic and 360-degree view of your surroundings, this feature will make backing out of the driveway much safer.
